Morning folks! As you may remember, I’m a fan of Carl Sagan- famed writer and geek dreamboat. Through the genius of auto-tune, dearly departed Carl serenades us accompanied by kindred spirit, Stephen Hawking. Direct link is here.Mp3 download is here.
From the country that brought you “I kept hot coffee in my lap while driving and it burnt my crotch” comes the latest in a long line of stupid lawsuits.
This one features Roy Werbel, a fabulously idiotic individual who is suing Kellogg’s over the fact that he bought Froot Loops cereal under the assumption that there was real fruit used in the making of it.
From the San Francisco News Blog:
“Kellogs intentionally deceived consumers into buying Froot Loops by misleadingly using the word “froot” in the title, Werbel alledges. He demands unspecified punitive and actual damages, to be paid to all consumers who have mistakenly bought Froot Loops cereal. Had Werbel known that “Froot Loops contained no fruit, he would not have purchased it,” his suit alleges.”
Over on Joystiq, they just posted an interview with Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor and Rob Sheridan, who discuss their involvement with, and love of, video games. Check it out.
In the continuing effort to make up for what Nelson and I said about the Dark Crystal in our Cult Classics episode, here’s the Dark Crystal Rap from Robot Chicken. (Note: this post does not constitute an apology, nor a change in opinion.)
The New York Geekcast is hosted by Nelson Diaz and David Pagano. These two self-proclaimed nerds (along with their friends) cover anything and everything dorky -- movies, music, comics, video games, television -- while bringing a unique New York sensibility to it all.
