Monty Python 40th Anniversary

How did I miss this? In honor of Monty Python’s 40th anniversary, there’s a live show from today through 10/10 at Town Hall in New York. And then on the 15th, the new documentary Monty Python: Almost the Truth (The Lawyer’s Cut) will be screening at the Ziegfeld, with all of the Python members in attendance (except the dead one).

I hope if you’re going to this, you have fun and think of me. Here’s a New York Magazine article about it:

I met both Eric Idle and Michael Palin and broke into tears moments after meeting each…..sigh…

That’s just like when I met David Byrne — all I could manage to say was, “my name is David, too.” FAIL

HA!!! Eric Idle and I have the same birthday so I was sure to mention that. We can get “dork” tattooed on our foreheads together–maybe there will be a discount.

It’s also the 40th anniversary of Sesame Street.
