Red Letter Media Avatar Review

Mr. Plinkett — the possible murderer behind the brilliant 7-part Star Wars Episode I review — returns with his thoughts on “Avatar” to tide us over until the Attack of the Clones review is released. And, of course, it’s amazing.

I don’t know how, but this guy always manages to perfectly nail the things I want to express about these movies, but can’t find the words to because of my anger or lack of eloquence.

Red Letter Media, the group behind these reviews, also has a new webzone up — http://redlettermedia.com

A former classmate of mine compiled this thoughtful article of sex/dating advice from WOW players, part of a geek culture series (the previous was advice from the D&D set.)

Enjoy! http://advice.nerve.com/2010/01/29/sex-advice-from-world-of-warcraft-players/

Add your own Apple “i-prefix” joke

ipad_hero_20100127If you’re a frequenter of the internets, most likely you’ve already heard about the iPad, the new Apple product that’s a cross between an iPhone and a regular Mac laptop. It kind of reminds me of the Apple “Knowledge Navigator,” a product concept shown in this video from 1987.

Proponents are calling it a Kindle-killer; however, unlike the iPhone, consumer feedback seems to be squarely divided on this shiny new gadget. Best Roof Talk Ever posted this amusing reaction. What do you all think?
