Monty Python 40th Anniversary

How did I miss this? In honor of Monty Python’s 40th anniversary, there’s a live show from today through 10/10 at Town Hall in New York. And then on the 15th, the new documentary Monty Python: Almost the Truth (The Lawyer’s Cut) will be screening at the Ziegfeld, with all of the Python members in attendance (except the dead one).

I hope if you’re going to this, you have fun and think of me. Here’s a New York Magazine article about it:

Tron Legacy update

The Disney Blog links to a short interview on Comingsoon.net with Tron Legacy star Olivia Wilde, who talks about wearing the suits and the fact that production on the film has now wrapped (release date as of right now: December 17, 2010).

Vote for Rorschach Right Now!

This is Erin asking you to click this link right now and vote for Jackie Earle Haley as Rorschach for the Spike TV 2009 Scream Awards. It’s really easy, just click, no registration needed.

Watchmen has nominations in 12 other categories, but I don’t care if you vote for any of them. Just make sure you vote for Jackie Earle Haley.

Apparently, this is his only shot at winning any award for the Rorschach performance, and that is just not right. Vote every day. This is not justice.

Paganomation review: Michael Bay’s Transformers

I had wanted to post this as a relevant addition back when we recorded our Transformers podcast, but my blog had been recently assaulted by hackers, and I was unable to do so. Now that my blog is back up, I think it might be worth sharing and discussing. You know, just to put it out there.

Boredom is the right of all sentient beings: a rambling, slightly biased Transformers film review on the Paganomation blog

Toy Story 1 and 2 in 3-D

October 2nd will see the re-release of Toy Story 1 and 2 in select theaters in 3-D — two weeks only!

Should be pretty cool, and a nice refresher for the release of Toy Story 3 next summer.

Well, we can’t embed it, but this year’s Comiccon in San Diego had an official release of the (now titled) TRON Legacy trailer with it. Sweet!
